La Cassandra debuts with "Ayer Lloré Por Ti" (Yesterday I Cried For You)

From New York and to the world, the young artist “La Cassandra” brings us "Ayer lloré por ti" her first promotional track who debuts in Latin pop with an international taste influenced by flamenco and available on all platforms starting today.

"'Ayer Lloré Por Ti' is a song about a woman's transition from vulnerability to empowerment. When I wrote this song, I was at a point in my life where I was good, I felt powerful, and remembering a failed relationship from the past only me it made me feel stronger. I think it is a situation that many women can relate to or be inspired by. When we fall, we get back up stronger" expresses the artist who, besides being a singer, is the author of this song.

“'Ayer Lloré Por Ti', I got excited and so, I almost fell in love, what a fool I was. Today I decided that I will shine without you… ”expresses the artist who today feels very confident in going forward as an artist but, above all, as an empowered woman.

Right now La Cassandra is working on the release of her current project and debut album.

The production includes of 10 songs. It is a dynamic Latin pop album where the main genres are Tropical and Bolero. The album is best described as dramatic, passionate, romantic, and unpredictable.

In the first single "Ayer Lloré Por Ti", the work of Victor Rosso is found in the production, guitar and recording, who together with more than 13 musicians began recording in Havana, Cuba, at the famous EGREM studios.

La Cassandra brings a sound that goes back to her Caribbean roots; singing her story through compelling melodies and passionate performances.

La Cassandra is a New York City Dominican-American singer-songwriter who wows with her passionate and unique voice. Growing up, she listened to boleros, bachatas, and Latin folklore gravitating to a variety of great artists who have influenced her music such as Juan Gabriel, Gloria Estefan, Juan Luis Guerra, Selena, and Celia Cruz.

These influences fueled interest on fusing the traditional and timeless with the new, reinterpreting tropical folklore with a modern twist. La Cassandra proposes a new and refreshing take on the current Latin market.

La Cassandra's artistic evolution has resulted in significant traction in her career from opening at Yankee Stadium, performing at the Little Island NYC grand opening to performing at the Havana Jazz Festival, to just name a few. More importantly, this past year Cassandra wrote and recorded her upcoming debut album live.

La Cassandra elevates femininity and celebration of life, while paying great respect and homage to her native roots, the Dominican Republic.
